Movenpick Hotel The Haque
Stylish boutique hotel
Movenpick Hotel The Haque
Previously, the building where Mövenpick Hotel The Hague is now situated, was used as the office of the Staatsloterij. In June 2020, after renovation, a new boutique hotel with 72 rooms opened its doors. This stylish hotel is located in the centre of The Hague, around the corner from the royal palace.
Framed artwork
When walking into the rooms, the guests will see two sets of art mounted on two different walls: Rembrandt; Dutch famous painter, combined with typical Dutch dunes. Both works are framed with recognizable Dutch wide frames of different sizes.
Reception Area
Royal art with brown wood framing, including a double linen mount. We used thick, authentic paper to print on.
Prints on paper
When entering the corridor on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor, you see a small decoration with authentic wide frame, mounted on a big wall. The images that are used are a combination of traditional elements of The Hague and abstract, modern art.
Ceramic art and books
For this part of the decoration we worked together with a ceramic artist. The theme of the decoration was inspired by the international court in The Hague. We created items like different style jabots, a judge hammer, and 2 typical judge wigs that are now hanging on the wall. This theme is also applied in the meeting rooms, where you can find a judge scale. In addition to the international court theme, we created traditional Dutch items and a Delfts blue painted skull. We also decorated several bookshelves in the public area and meeting rooms, with books and ceramic objects.

Artwork in public area – restaurant
We also provided the window art and art in a display case. In these decorations you can see a variety of themes such as the International court, Dutch Royals and Dutch painters of The Hague School. There is also a variation of framing with passe partout.
Wallpaper in bathroom
For the bathrooms we designed and printed a typical Delfts blue wallpaper.
